HB0655

We elect our other representatives by District. Why shouldn't it be the same with County Commissioners?
When County Commissioners are elected at-large, voters in minority and Democratic areas of StMary's County have their votes diluted by other areas of the County. We need and deserve a seat at the table. Let's make a change now!
Please share and sign the below petition sponsored by the St. Mary's County NAACP:
Petition to Support House Bill 655 County Commissioner Elections – District Voting
OUR VOICE, OUR DISTRICT, OUR VOTE!
We should decide who represents us! County Commissioner Candidates who get the most votes from their district should earn the seat in office. Please sign the petition to indicate your support for this incredibly important state legislation.
